#52 - 6 more books!

Man am I behind on blogging!! First book up is Sophie Kinsella's Can you Keep a Secret? I must say that this was a very funny book! It is a perfect light-hearted summer read. I give this book to thumbs way up. Here is a brief synopsis:

This is another great murder mystery book by Denise Swanson. If you love murder mysteries then you should give this series a shot. You get so attached to the main characters and rather sad that it takes here a whole year to get the next book out. Again a synopsis:

Grandma Sal's Soup-To-Nuts Cooking Challenge is coming to town, and Skye Denison is entering. And though she can't solve the mystery of the perfect mousse, murder is another story. Because a cocky contestant has been found delectably drowned in a chocolate fountain...

I enjoyed this book, but it was a little slow. The main character, Rachel, often has flashbacks or the need to describe her current actions because of past events. In the end the book picked up speed and was a good read. I will most likely read its sequel which follows up the second book, but is told from the other person's point of view. This is another great book by Sophie Kinsella writing under a different pen name of Madeleine Wickham. This book is very much like Sex and the City. It follows the lives of three London city girls who meet up for cocktails all the time. One small event changes all three of their lives forever. All in all a good read. Synopsis:

I am still re-reading the Harry Potter books. They are still awesome books, and if you still haven't read them, you should!!! Seriously :)
